Waimea doctors to get electronic records

A group of Waimea physicians on the Big Island has signed a $1 million, multiyear contract with Honolulu-based information technology firm eQHIP for the community's first fully integrated electronic medical records system.

Under the three-year contract, eQHIP will furnish the North Hawaii Community Physicians, a group of about 50 doctors, with practice management, billings and admissions software, and electronic medical records for their patients no teletrak payday loans.

This latest contract doubles eQHIP's existing client base. The company expects to install the necessary servers and software in phases over the next 12 to 18 months.

eQHIP is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hawaii Independent Physicians Association.
